Today I talk to my favorite musician, John Van Deusen. The Gospel Coalition named John’s album “Marathon Daze” the top Christian album of the year for 2022. John has produced music with Judah, John Guerra, Teniella Neda, and many more. If you haven’t heard of John, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out his work—start with his devotional album “Every Power Wide Awake,” also known as “I Am Origami 2.” His most recent album is a Christmas album titled “In the Bleak Midwinter.” I just got the vinyl and it is fantastic! John started his music career in the band Lonely Forest, which had good success. But, in an effort to honor God and become more healthy, he began to do solo work. We have a great conversation, complete with eggs and three year olds going to school.
