I’m still assimilating this week’s podcast and trying to stop the brain from streaming to all the things I want to do, learn, and research as a result of your discussion. I also wish @jasonmbaxter would have been my college professor—I may have been able to avoid a career in healthcare altogether!
Less than a month ago, I revisited The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and remember thinking “Why don’t writers use language and cadence like this anymore? In fact - what keeps ME from using it?”
The scene where Aslan offers himself in place of Edmond did as much or more in my pursuit to understand grace and resurrection than my religious upbringing. As an adult, I treasure the chance to reread the classics. I even revisited Paradise Lost in an antique copy illustrated by Gustave Dore’. What a treat! Next time, I’ll do it with a guide as you recommended….and a yellow legal pad, too!
Thank you, gentlemen.
